HOLIDAY STYLE
BRIGHT ON WHITE
we BELIEVE HOLIDAY FAMILY PHOTOS SHOULD BE
MERRY AND BRIGHT
MAKING IT EASY
We know that for our own holiday family shoots, picking out the clothing is one of the hardest parts! Here is how we make your life a little easier.
Once we select the vision for our holiday shoot we will reach out with a style board! This will include the inspiration for the shoot and a few style
ideas for the entire family. We'll even include links to current
collections for easy online buying.
We encourage you to send us your style ideas for your family and we'll give you feedback based on years of experience. Go ahead and lay them all out, text us a picture and our team will work together to send you additional ideas or suggestions. Easy!
We are wheels-on-the-bus, baby shark singing, silly experts.
We make it OUR job to get your kids to smile and have fun during the shoot so YOU can smile and relax, too. It is so important to have a photographer behind the camera, inspiring your family to relax and have fun! That's what it is all about, right?
scheduling
We offer sessions from September through the last week of November to ensure the perfect christmas card timing for your family.
If your little ones are over 2 years old, grab one of our early
sessions! Kiddos don't change as quickly once they get a little older so
you'll be able to really get ahead of the holiday rush and have those
cards ready to go by November!
That's what we call a major WIN.
- Mamas, dress for the type of holiday family photos you want. If you are looking for a playful holiday session, keep that in mind as you choose your clothing. Wearing a fitted, knee length (or above) dress and heels may really restrict your ability to move and adjust to your ever moving toddler!
- Try on all of your clothing at least a week before the holiday session. Stand in front of a mirror while holiding your smallest child and move them from arm to arm. Bend down to put them down. Does your outfit require a lot of adjusting with each movement? Does theirs?
- When bringing bribes (and we love a good bribe), give it to them before your shoot to see what it does. Do they have to chew it for a long time? Does it turn their mouth colors?
- We suggest zero screens during your photo session. It tends to calm them, but it can also turn off their personality. Once they are calm and we are ready to turn off the screen so they can play, it usually starts a meltdown you then have to navigate.
When you book your holiday photo session, we will send you our Kortnee Kate must have tips and make sure you are all set for the big day!
