While shooting Shannon and John’s engagement session, I had a moment to talk with John alone. It was so sweet to hear him talk about his love for Shannon and his excitement for their lives together. That was so easy to see on the day of their wedding. Shannon was down right giddy!

Weddings can be stressful on a couple. All the planning, all the decisions, all of the small details to keep track of can be a lot. Shannon and John had a lot of help from Dawn, owner of Details by Dawn. I have to say that I think every bride needs a planner. It is shocking to see the difference in a brides demeanor on the wedding day when she knows that someone else is taking care of all the little details!

While I was with the girls while they were getting ready, Ted took the guys out for a few pics! They had way too much fun!

The reception was held at the Cincinnati Museum Center. While I was taking photos of the bride and groom outside the building, Ted was shooting inside! One of the perks of having two lead photographers.

I often tell Ted that if I had to pick my favorite type of photo it would be one full of laughter and expression exploding with color! Susan and Joe made it possible for me to accomplish that goal in nearly all of their wedding photos! Susan is a gorgeous ball of energy and talent. Joe is a relaxed guy with a lot of depth and has so much love for Susan. They balance each other perfectly. They met while running a marathon, and from there on, it was love.

Susan looked GORGEOUS. I was in love with her hair. Perfect. Her emotion while putting on the dress was contagious.

After all of the “first looks” I have posted on this blog, no one can ever make the case that seeing each other before the wedding ruins the day. Look at this sequence! So cute!
