Ryan, Colin and Calum live in Scotland and were just here for a short time so they could show off their latest addition! Calum is just about 6 months and he is hysterical! The amount of facial expressions this child has should qualify him for some type of award! He was such a good sport in the heat and dealing with all of us trying to get him to smile and make faces!! It’s tough being so cute, huh Calum??

Look at this Gerber baby! Those blue eyes, blonde hair, ugh! I just want to squeeze his little cheeks!!

When the hat came out I was just cracking up! I am such a sucker for cute kiddo hats!

Whoops!! I love how it looks like he is totally complaining about not being able to see!

So I think we determined quickly that Calum was not in love with this outfit.

So we stripped him naked and he was happy as a lark! I love his face here!

And here! By the time we got to the Scottish Kilt he was over the outfit changes I think! But the face, classic!

I have to confess that the very first photo we took we put him in the grass thinking he might be able to balance and well, he didn’t! He did a slight face plant into the grass and you could tell he knew who set up that shot! So, in order to get back into his good graces, I made sure we had hand holding from there on out!

Preston was nice enough to allow me to put him in any random location I desired. He was cool with it. We had a chat beforehand.

I am not sure what he was trying to tell me here. Let’s just say he must of not liked the angle I was photographing him at!! I have to admit that I LOVE the crying photos. Maybe because at this age it is soooooooooo realistic. Keepin’ it real, that’s me.

We had to remember the original baby of the family!! I think Callie was likin’ a little bit of the spotlight!

We decided to head outdoors for a bit. We didn’t stay long as it was HOOOOT out there! We had to get some shots of Preston on the quilt that was handmade by his Grandma!

Perfect. Just perfect.

Congrats to Sam, Kevin, Callie and baby Preston!! Such an adorable brand new family!!! I can’t wait to see how this little man grows and changes. It has been so fun to document all of these huge events in your life. We have enjoyed every minute.

Steve and Reagan have been such great friends to us! They have been over to make “Ted heads” when Ted turned 30….they came prop bowling for my birthday and gladly wore the ridiculous t-shirts I hand made for them…they have made super fabulous videos for our business and family, one being out in the freezing cold at Christmas time! I mean really, that is some friend dedication! Thanks guys!

So, Steve and Reagan have a tradition that on their girls first birthdays they purchase a large cake and dunk them in it.!! We did it with Mya and it was a ball! Now, Sadie, the fact that you have creative parents may be a blessing and a curse!

She went from loving it, to loathing it in about 3 minutes!

I thought it so appropriate that in the middle of Sadie freaking out about being in the cake, Mya walks over…not to comfort her sister, but to steal a lick of the frosting! Perfect sister move! hahahaha!! What makes it really funny is that Mya is actually a super sweet older sister! She just had her eyes on the prize!!!

And then after stealing the lick, she pats her on the head with more frosting! Can’t you hear it now…. Mya is 16 and Sadie is 13. They are sitting in the living room looking through old photos when Sadie says, “See, look at this one! You have been a stinker to me since day one!” That is totally how it would have went between me and my sisters!

Thank you guys for having me there to photograph so many huge milestones with your family! It has been a pleasure!! Ok, time for number three guys! What? If you don’t there will be no more baby cake sessions?!?!?!

I love this photo as he was almost as well known for his pipe as he was his puppies. ( BTW, my mom is the little girl in this photo.)

I tell you all of this because when I was in New York City a few weeks ago, I had the privilege of meeting another fellow dog lover, Ku and her baby Simba. Listening to Ku talk about the almost 17 years they have spent together almost brings tears to your eyes. Simba has been a loyal friend, faithful protector and loving confidant for all of those years. He is now 17 years old and starting to slow down especially with the recent hip replacement. You can see that his fur is shaved in a few places due to the surgery. During the shoot, Ku pushed him around in the cutest puppy stroller but when she would get him up to lead him to it, he would wobble happily beside her, like the true friend he has always been. I was so honored to document their connection.

Ku is a private chef in New York City and Simba gets to go to work with her everyday! What a life! I am positive that he eats better then me!

Ku, I had a fabulous time getting to know you and your baby. I loved hearing the story of how Simba fell into your life by chance and it was instant love! I can’t wait to see you again on our next trip out east!

It was very windy, kinda rainy and a tad cold the morning of our shoot. Soooooo, we made it outdoors for a little bit but boy we were gettin’ in as much as we could in a short amount of time! I seriously think that is when the best photos happen.

I love that even through the spitting rain and whipping wind, their super fun personalities shone through!

Don’t you just love their little hats?? I am so jealous of the moms that get to dress up their little girls in these adorable outfits! The boy clothing options aren’t half as fun!

Isabella and Gabrielle were freezing near the end of the shoot so we had them all bundled up between photos!! Does Isabella not look JUST LIKE HER DAD when she smiles!!??!!

HOW ADORABLE IS THIS FAMILY!!!!????

Henry, the littlest one, seriously smiles non-stop!!

For little boys, taking pictures can be a tough job. So, I thought they might like really like me more if they had candy. Candy makes everything better!!!

Chris, Misha and I quickly realized that we if we let them chew it, the rest of the photos would include bright blue and yellow mouths. So, essentially, I offered them candy and then took it away. Yeah, then they REALLY loved me!

I love that Henry is concerned only about how high Jack is getting!! We took this photo three times and all three photos were identical! Nothin’ like a little brotherly competition!!

This is a baseball lovin’ family so we had to make sure we documented them in their super cute ball hats! I promise you I did not pose these two for this photo! How adorable, huh??!!?

We played a little game where Jack threw the ball up and Henry was supposed to catch it. It took him a while which I was SO happy about as the practice photos were so cute!!

Henry was pretty pleased with himself when he finally got it!

I LOVE THIS PHOTO! I know I have said this before but my favorite photos are full of emotion and color!

So when we didn’t have him corralled on the couch, it was gung-ho for the grasshoppers. Those grasshoppers had to be scared to death as Gavin chased them EVERYWHERE!

A tasty treat was an acceptable bribe after the grasshopper hunt.

Their were lots of parents trying to get photos of their kids and the pumpkins. Many of them would smile and hold up their pumpkin. Mine, not so much.

I must say that I prefer being behind the camera most of the time but, I love when Ted takes photos of Micah and I together. I do not have a lot of photos of my mom and I together when I was little.

Micah LOVES to be tickled. I don’t really get it. I HATE being tickled. Always have.

I just love these boys.

This was the whole Pumpkin Patch Troop! I love Mya’s face in this photo! She is such a doll. Little Sadie was totally passed out in her stroller!

I love this photo because everyone  in it was doing exactly what they did most of the time. Steve playing with Mya, Ted checking the football game stats on his IPhone and Micah dancing around! Love it!

While we were there we took some shots for the Studio Z Films Family! Sadie was not so sure about all of that.

But she LOVED the pumpkins! At first….

Thank you guys for such a fun trip to the pumpkin patch! We had a ball sliding down slides, going for a hayride and eating caramel apples!! Next year we will try not to go during the football game so Steve and Ted will not have to check their IPhones every few minutes! Men, I tell ya!

This photo makes me smile! We tried this shot a few times and the first time I looked at the back of my camera to see if we got it and started cracking up laughing!! All you could see at the top of the photo were his little legs!! It looked like he was falling out of the sky and Kevin was trying to catch him!!

When Lisa and Vance asked if I would take photos of their gorgeous little family I was so excited! Any excuse to hang out is fine by me! The whole shoot was done at their home. I love doing this as kids tend to act more like themselves in their own environment.

Tessa is the newest addition to the family. She is such a good baby! So laid back and she could not be any cuter!!

Big brother Vance had to show her how to work it… I love the total look of shock from Tessa that he interrupted her shoot!

And in true big brother fashion… he thought it was funny!!

I get this look a lot from him! The look of total frustration…

But I get a lot of these looks too!!

I love this shot! I think little Vance is taking after Ted… he looks like he is preaching the gospel to his dad! “Praise Jesus!” HAHAHA!!
