As we drove away from Maria and Angelo’s wedding Ted said, “I wish I could be Greek!” Through the entire day there was an overwhelming feeling of deep family connection, incredible love of friends and timeless tradition. One of my favorite sayings is, “It is important to honor our beginnings, to remember that we matter and that we have a place in this world that no one else has.” I know for a fact that if Maria and Angelo did not know that before their wedding, they sure did when they climbed into their get away car at the end of the night.
I have to give a HUGE shout out to Kristen and Rick from Tres Chic! Having a fabulous coordinator is such an incredible help, especially on the day of the wedding! They are such a fun team to work with… not to mention, we just love them as our good buddies!!
I have to make a confession before we get started. I am slightly obsessed with Maria’s INCREDIBLE dress designed by Ines Di Santo

Her shoes were so fab by Yves Saint Laurent!

I looooooooove all the detailing….. (I warned you I was obsessed…)

I forgot to mention that Maria is my amazing hair stylist! She is the BEST. She is at A Salon Named Desire. An incredible perk to being an amazing stylist is that on your wedding day you have a TON of super talented hair and make-up artists swarming your house!

Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooo gorgeousness….

The florist was Abbey’s Florist! Fabulous!

When we arrived at the church for the ceremony, they brought in one of the ADORABLE ring bearers… This kid needs to be on the front of baby cereal boxes. SO cute!!

The ceremony was held at the St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. It was a huge church and it was packed! It was seriously hard to maneuver through the back of the church because there were so many people standing!! It was awesome! This was Maria’s face coming down the aisle…

This was Angelos….

It was such a cool ceremony! We had never been to a Greek wedding… it was full of tradition and had a lot of neat elements!

Married!!!

So, it poured all day. I mean poured. So, we were able to find a great dry location and have some fun!

Gorgeous couple…

Talk about a gorgeous brown-eyed girl! Maria’s original and super cool headpiece was made by Maria Elena. They have some gorgeous pieces on that site!

The guys were so fun and rowdy all day!

The reception was held at the Hyatt downtown! Props to Goodwin lighting for creating a fabulous mood!

This amazing cake was made by Maribelle Cakery!

I just love this shot… Maria had just given a toast thanking all of their family and friends for all their support and love… Angelo was overwhelmed. Love it! So sweet!

During the reception a slide show played with all of their photos throughout the years… at the end, the incredible Steve from StudioZ Films surprised them with a little footage from the wedding day!! They were floored! Steve, you rock!

There was a lot of money being tossed in the air as they danced! Maria later informed me that at the end of the night it was all given to the band, Karisma!

I love how they danced all night!

blingidy bling…

Maria and Angelo, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your incredible wedding day!! May all of your days be as happy as this one was!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Make it a great one!!!!!!!
